| Robert began spearfishing at 8 years of age, has been Australian Open Spearfishing Champion 6 times and has represented Australia in numerous Inter-Pacific and World Championship competitions over the past 25 years. He specialises in filming while freediving, and his work has featured prominently in the natural history genre in Australia and overseas. Robert is co-founder and editor of International Freediving and Spearfishing News. He’s also founder and principal of Blue Water Hunting International, www.bwhi.com.au. Robert is a certified PADI Dive master and Coxswain. |

| Barry's involvement in spearfishing began when he was 11 years old – 56 years ago! During his career he’s been active in State and Federal development of spearfishing . He was instrumental in establishing the Eden 3-State Competition and the Coffs Harbour Bluewater Classic and still contributes generously to event sponsorships. For 30 years he’s been involved in manufacture, importing and distribution of specialised spearfishing gear. He currently imports leading brands from France, Italy and South Africa, and is co-publisher of International Freediving and Spearfishing News, SportDiving Magazine, and Dive Log Australasia. |
Tech Pro & Graphic Designer Helga Hawkes
| Helga graduated in Art and Design from Melbourne’s Dandenong Tafe College. For the next 18 years she was employed by the Fairfax Newspaper division (Melbourne) and developed her natural skills in print advertising layout, typography, digital design and production, plus pre-press management and coordination. Four years ago Helga joined the Mountain Ocean and Travel Publications team as a graphic designer – her extensive experience in the printing and publishing industry continues to brighten the pages of their quarterly tabloid International Freediving and Spearfishing News and the monthly tabloid Dive Log Australasia. |
